The UDHQ asks questions that pertain directly to your medical history as well as to activities that may put you at a greater risk for contracting a disease, virus, etc. know, the longest part of giving blood is filling out and speaking to your medical history via the regulated Universal Donor History Questionnaire (UDHQ) that you’re required to fill out at each donation. While it may seem like simply paying donors or making donation more personal through family ties may solve blood supply issues, there are a number of factors that need to be considered when determining what is the best system for patients.Īs all donors in the U.S. According to WHO, of 135 countries surveyed, “79 countries collect over 90% of their blood supply from voluntary unpaid blood donors however, 56 countries collect more than 50% of their blood supply from family/replacement or paid donors.” In general, voluntary donation is more prevalent among “high-income countries,” though “middle-income” and “low-income” countries have been trending towards higher rates of volunteer donors in recent years. Ĭountries around the world differ on which methods are used most often (and, which are legally sanctioned). This is often a family member but can also be someone who has been asked or hired by the family to donate on the patient’s behalf. The third model, family/replacement, requires that a patient in need of a transfusion provide their own donor at the time treatment is needed. And a paid system is also what you’d expect: Donors are given monetary compensation for their donated blood. Its definition is fairly straightforward: Donors are not provided monetary compensation for their donation. As previously stated, voluntary blood donation is what we rely on here in the U.S. Globally, there are three models used to provide blood to patients: volunteer, paid and family/replacement. While we will get into the reasons that volunteer donors are the “gold standard” below, first, a bit of context. While paying donors for transfusable products is legal in the United States, it is highly discouraged for a number of reasons that have been repeatedly touted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and are backed by scientific data. The short answer is, if a donation is paid for, hospitals are unlikely to use it to transfuse patients due to safety to concerns, and, since 1978, the FDA has required blood centers to label any donations for transfusion as coming from either paid or volunteer donors. Do we not value our donors? Is it too costly? Too logistically challenging? It’s not uncommon for SBC team members to receive questions as to why SBC does not pay donors who generously give their blood. ![]() With the best of the Three being Dread Return.ĭread Return is the go-to reanimation spell in the deck with a near-guaranteed ability to cast it when the deck is put into the graveyard. So, step one you need to reanimate something from the graveyard and since this is a graveyard-focused reanimation spells with flashbacks are the best way to bring stuff back. There are a few “routes” that the deck can take to win. Assuming that the entire deck is in the graveyard with either Undercity informer, Balustrade Spy, or with the dredge cards (Those are coming up a bit later). There is a linear route that this takes but, there are a few routes that the said path can take. These three cards in this deck function as a one-card combo with both Undercity Informer, Hermit Druid, and Balustrade Spy milling the entire Library into the graveyard which is a place that baring disruption from the opponent the deck is always able to win from. Now there is a deck-building reason for this, as it lets a few cards that otherwise seem downright terrible and changes them into game-winning bombs. This is where the MDFCs from Zendikar risings come in, This deck doesn’t run a single “land” instead of running 28 of the MDFCs. So to make a “manaless” dredge work we need to run zero lands… well at least zero real lands. However, if we twist the definition, we can make this work. Now to be completely transparent you can’t make a deck that works completely like the Legacy Manaless Dredge in commander. This led me down a dark path with one single goal. A deck that broke all the rules, A deck that didn’t need any lands to work and, A deck that was unique to all other decks in magic. You’d be surprised how well matched you would be against delver with 4 toughness creatures, answers to murktide and good answers. There are few decks that have captured my interest more than the Legacy deck Manaless Dredge. TBH, against fair decks playing some sort of pauper value deck with a few non commons thrown in is super viable. I’d rather play a pauper deck or something in legacy than play manaless dredge. The problem with the deck is that to use the discard rule to start dredging you sort of need to have 7 cards in hand, so if you’re pitching force of vigor to take our leyline on turn 1 or 0 you’re effectively time walking yourself for 2 turns.Īlso, tbh, the deck is not super fun and very very frustrating to play. The reality is that dredge is supposed to win game 1 and really duke it out for a game 2 or 3 win against a bunch of GY hate. You’d be better off buying trinispheres, chalices and ancient tombs and playing some stomps shell. I don’t even know that manaless dredge is a good deck period. Boasting top-of-the-line leak protection, superior quality, and easy and seamless application, RubberRoofs™ liquid rubber is unparalleled. While many waterproofing coating products fail or are plagued with application issues, RubberRoofs™ liquid rubber endures as one of the most reliable and versatile roof sealants and waterproofing agents on the market. When waterproofing your roof, it is vital to choose the roof sealant that will provide you with the highest quality, long-term results – And that’s exactly what RubberRoofs™ aim to do! While some waterproofing products seal off small and isolated leaks, RubberRoofs™ liquid rubber creates virtually impenetrable barriers against water (rain), sun, and other outside factors over your entire roof. RubberRoofs™ is the trusted name in roof waterproofing. Why should you choose RubberRoofs™ to repair & waterproof your roof? These leaks need to be attended to before they cause more severe damage. Once a roof reaches the end of its life – approximately 20 – 25 years – roof leaks will begin to develop. Roofing materials deteriorate with age and become less effective at keeping water out. Even the most well-maintained roofs are going to take a beating by design. The age of a roof is one of the most common causes of roof leaks. RubberRoofs™ not only ads protection from the natural elements, but gives your roof a new lease on life. Periods of intense heat, prolonged cold, and wild temperature fluctuations degrade roofing materials, ultimately resulting in roof leaks. Slow and steady falling of rain contribute to roof leaks and has a cumulative impact on your roof over time. Heavy rain often comes with heavy wind. Powerful storms and winds cause roofing materials to break off the roof as well as whip tree branches, trees, and other debris at high speeds, causing it to land or fall on your roof, resulting in severe damage and roof leaks. All waterproofing projects are carried out by highly trained, supervised RubberRoofs™ applicators, who are known for their quality workmanship and attention to detail.Įxtreme weather conditions can be a major cause of roof leaks. At RubberRoofs™, everything is done in-house without any unnecessary outsourcing, giving us a competitive edge and you piece of mind. RubberTech™ proprietary products are developed to be class-leading, environmentally friendly and are backed by a 10-year warranty. If the initial waterproofing application or products that have been applied is not up to par it can lead to major roof leaks, cracks, mould issues, and structural defects. This can be incredibly expensive and should be avoided at all costs. By neglecting your roof and not addressing roof leaks when they appear, minor issues can transform into systemic problems that require a full re-roof or substantial structural work. Regular upkeep, resealing, and professional waterproofing will prevent roof leaks and avoid further damage.
